Urban Outfitters & PD

In conjunction with New Haven's Festival of Arts & Ideas, I will be displaying 7 paintings and 2 Prints at New Haven's Urban Outfitters. DJ John Panos will be spinning on Saturday June 14th to set things off and I will be there around 7ish in case anyone wants to hang out and chit chat or to do the wop (old skool heads know what I'm talking about haha). The paintings featured here are a few of the pieces I'll have in my upcoming Chicago show, so those who obviously won't be in Chicago for that should come out and see these pieces in person.. Thanks goes out to Nicole and Kelly for making this possible and a special thanks to Matt for helping me hang the pieces the first time around.

¡Que Viva Spain & Project Detonate!

So check it out PAPA! I was invited to design a cassette paper toy for the annual exhibition Taper Matter in Spain in conjuction with Platano Rock. According to the size on the template looks like these bad boys will be printed 40"x40" and displayed in an underground gallery, that should look really nice!. The design is based on my twisted cherry characters that I have yet to reveal, at least the revised versions. There are more angles of my toy at my myspace. You have to peep the worm and tape coming out of the back! You can also see last years coverage of Platano Rock on you tube heads up its all in spanish, but you can still get a feel of the show, gallery and what will be going on this year!

SHOWS SHOWS SHOWS

March has definitely been a busy month for me. I finished up 4 pieces, and at the same time plugging away at the 2 man show I have coming up, 30 pieces hahah! so I still have ways to go.

I finished up a skate deck that I will be having at the Multiple Personalities show at Lift Detroit. Monster Decay, Squidnik, Squint, Lou Pimentel, Doktor A, the list goes on and on so I am more than pumped to be along such fine artist. I did an 18x24 crazy Gnarwal piece for the Cute Attack show in FL, shipped off my custom BUD figure to CO for a show over at Plastic Chapel.

I am donating a piece for a CT show over at No Regrets Tattoo shop/gallery. CT heads should really come out to this and support a good cause. All pieces will be up for auction and the proceeds from this show will go to aid donorschoose.org to help low income students with art projects that schools lack funding for. In other news I'll be dropping some new products soon, so be on the lookout for that.. 08 is turning out to be a busy one for sure
